All Systems go for 1400 today

We spent yesterday waiting for the weather system to pass. The same system that produced 17 foot waves on Lake Superior on Tuesday and Wednesday is moving east. It is a huge system spreading from northern Canada all the way south to the Carolinas. It is expected to churn up the Chesapeake Bay Thursday, so our early departure is being delayed until 1400 Thursday. Our free day turned out to be a blessing and an opportunity to get to all the things on our TO-DO lists that we couldn’t get done. I remembered that I had not packed the gas can for the dinghy outboard. I added a few more fiddles on shelves and storage areas. A fiddle is a guard rail used to prevent things from rolling around and falling off shelves and tables. The down side of our time off was that everyone thought of more things to pack. Our neat and tidy boat suddenly became bursting with nice to have gear and clothes. Of course our refrigerator has been loaded since Sunday, so now our food is already four days old and we haven’t even left yet. For our daily photo, I have included a photo of our salon area with a very important bag.
