Our other stop in the Channel Islands was in Braye Bay and Harbour on the Island of Alderney. We had a mooring ball on the inside of the breakwater. See the arrow in the airial view. From the size of the waves that hit the wall and then washed over it, you can see how effective the wall is. By the way, the boat in the photo decided to move! We spent one day bicycling around the island. Both Alderney and Guernsey were occupied by the Germans during WWII, and there were many remants of the war still there. |
