Yes indeed, Full Circle is galloping like a true race horse. She is slicing through waves like a sharp filet knife pealing off the skin of Minnesota northern pike. With wind in the high teens from the ESE (120 degrees), we are flat lining at six knots. In fact, from midnight to midnight, we did 145 satisfying miles. This is better than any of us could have hoped for. What a beginning! The weather Gods, with the help of meteorologist Jeremy Marzani, have chosen to treat us well. By sunset, the wind was gusting to twenty plus knots, with the direction holding constant. For peace of mind in the darkness of the night, we decided to put a reef in the mainsail, and before the glow of the morning sun, we had a second reef in both the main and the genoa. It appears we are approaching the eastery trade winds that have beed steadily blowing since the time of the ancient mariners. We are now one with them. We are sailors, making our way across the ocean.

The engine hours you see recorded are due to charging the batteries and keeping the frige cold. I have one of those Oregon Scientific thermometers with a remote sensor on the cold plat so we can easily monitor the frige temp without opeing it up. Works like champ.

I am pleased to report that everyone is brushing and flossing daily. I can't, however, say the same for showers.

We couldn't have a day at sea without a mishap. One of the crew was lowering the galley table, which is hinged to a bulkhead, the one you saw us eating at last evening. It is no longer attached to bulkhead. After Full Circle felt the onrush of a major wave, the unnamed crerw member was seen holding the table top, severed from the body of Full Circle. We will be doing onbaord surgery today reattach the table to it rightful place. Photos to follow. You already have a couple of good photos.

I am writing this Sunday morning; we continue to crank. There is much to do at sea, and I am not sure I can keep up my frantic writing pace. Besides, it makes a bit nauseous.
