John C. Kelly Pocket Guides

Home

This page contains links to a series of "Pocket Guides." They are in pdf format and designed to be printed double-sided and turned into small 3x5 inch booklets. To achieve the desired result, print the document specifying odd pages only. Then reverse the order of the sheets, turn them over, and reinsert them in your printer. Now print the even pages. You should now have the pages properly numbered for making the booklet. You will need to cut them to size. I use a paper cutter to cut the top and the bottom edges first to get the five inch side. I then fold the pages in half and cut the three inch side. Staple them in the middle and you have your booklet.

Some of the pocket guides are designed as three-fold panels. The are laid out in landscape mode with three, 3x5 pages on one physical page. There are two physical pages containing a total of six 3x5 pages. They should be printed double sided, cut appropriately, and folded into a 3x5 final size.
