My last few days in the Marina before Karen returned were filled with small boat projects. The one important task I did was to change the secondary fuel filter for fuel tank 1. It had not been changed since we changed it as sea while sailing to Bermuda. It told a gruesome story. It was filled with black sludge, thick enough to plug a soda stray, let alone a 32 micron fuel filter. Hopefully this is from the original fuel remaining in the tank when we had our problems. It has been filled twice since then with fresh fuel. At some point, I will need to drain the tank completely and clean the tank.

I had the laundry done at the “Cool Racoon” Laverie. If it had been libre service, it would have been self service, but is was a full service Laverie, and all I had to do was drop it off one day and pick it up the next.

When Karen arrived, we used our last day before Linda and Steve arrived to buy groceries at Cora, a large super marche. Shopping in a foreign country is fun, because it becomes an experience in cultural awareness. It is like eating someone else's spaghetti recipe: it looks similar but tastes different.

We also squeezed in time to visit another falls (Saut de la Lezarde), this time called a jump (saut). It was not as tall as the ones I hiked to earlier in the week, but it was every bit as beautiful, with a large natural pool for swimming. The rushing water provided a natural spa.
