Mei Sum Dim Sum in China Town at 65 N. Pauahi Street

Dim sum means literally, "touched by the heart." Dim sum dining emerged from the leisure class of Cantonese society in the 10th century. Today, everyone enjoys dim sum (also called yum cha when eaten at teatime). Much of dim sum features bite sized dumplings and pastries stuffed with meats and vegetables. We were lost as to how to order this stuff so we didn't enliven our taste buds to the extent we should have. After observing others, it seems we should have ordered a little at time. It seem to work like ordering Sushi.
