AT-6 Engine Failure Flying alone on a routine training mission, Jim heard a bang, then silence. He was now flying a glider. He radioed the tower requesting assistance. There was nothing they could do, informing him he had two choices: bail-out or try to land. Since he could see the field, he chose to attempt a landing. Turns out the AT-6 performed OK as a glider. He got the plane down safely with no injuries or damage.
